Over the years I have visited thousands of museums, and rarely does one grab my attention as much as the Royal Tyrrell Museum, located in Drumheller, Alberta. Located an hour and a half drive from Calgary in the beautiful Canadian Badlands, home of thousands of dinosaur fossils, this museum will take you from the beginning of life on earth right up to through the ice age. Home to 13 different galleries, new exhibits, fascinating finds, and displays that take you back millions of years. The Royal Tyrrell Museum is worth a special trip from anywhere in the Western U.S. or Canada. Plan on spending at least a day in the museum and on the grounds and dinosaur trails.
